Use what you got. Wood!!!

Hard Wood.
Oak, to be specific.
What is a swingarm fixture? That is the question.
I awoke to a white backyard and thought what a perfect day for some holing in the basement. Time to get started on the swingarm project for the Norton. The biggest problem is that I needed some sort of fixturing. Some nice hard laminated oak should work nicely.

Lets get started on the layout. With a little help from our friends Mr. Highlife, Mr. Tapemeasure, and Mr. Dialcaliper, I managed to make a layout that should work just fine.
She's a beauty isn't she?

Mr. Highlife and I went at it. A little cutting, a little grinding, a little fittin, and a little bending we were going at it. Didn't much matter what it looked like, it was just me and him. After a good session it was starting to look like something. What, I am not sure yet. It might just end up being Yard Art.

Next up, a little tacking and then fit it up to the bike before I finish weld it.

You didn't mention any of the strange noises coming from the basement Spaniard! You know, the whirring of the sawzall or the spitzunsparken! :)

No cro-mo trellis?

Lookin good, but I'd stick with the oak.
